Storm Damage – Kingsport Restaurant

Storm damage struck this Kingsport restaurant when a severe thunderstorm with high winds damaged the roof of the structure. A portion of the roof was torn away allowing rainwater to enter the interior of the restaurant. SERVPRO of Kingsport / Bristol was called immediately, and we responded on an emergency basis. When we arrived on site, we first placed tarps on the roof to stop the influx of water into the restaurant. Once the storm passed, we arranged to have a roofing company repair the roof, and we began the process of extracting the water from the building. This phase went quickly as the owner of the facility had reacted at the first site of rainwater entering the building. Once we had cleaned up the water, we set up commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process.
