Mold Damage – Kingsport Home

The mold damage on this wall in a home in Kingsport was caused by a leaking pipe within the wall. The mold damage and water damage had been hidden by a large piece of furniture and went undetected until the homeowners smelled a musty odor and investigated. For us to clean up the mold on the wall, the baseboard and floor we were required to remove a portion of the drywall and dispose of it properly. We had to clean the wall studs and the floor sill plates. Once cleaned we treated the affected area with an antimicrobial substance to inhibit any future mold growth. WE the put up new drywall and baseboard and painted. The homeowners were extremely relieved to have the mold damage behind them.
