Hardwood Floor Battles Water Damage in Kingsport

The leaking water line spread out about one inch of water over this hardwood flooring in Kingsport. Our SERVPRO technicians quickly removed the standing water from the surface of the floor. It was critical to then place drying mats in several locations where the water had penetrated into the floor joists between the plank joints. This took several days to dry properly to dry out the wood. We also placed some heaters in the crawl space to expedite the drying process. It was tricky, but our applied structural drying technicians dispatched the water and moisture and prepared the floor for a sanding and refinishing.Count on SERVPRO for help.
